Life, in all its forms: Light and dark. Brilliance and deepness. Exuberance and stillness. Some real, some imagined.
Anne Alden
Oil, Acrylic, Mixed Media
After many years of working in a variety of technical fields both in the US Navy and as a Civilian; installing, maintaining, repairing, buying, and selling, Anne had the opportunity to go back to school for Fine Art and Graphic Design. She earned a BFA in Visual Communications from Northwest College of Art & Design in 2013. She owned Anne Alden Design/Bluff House Design, her own “One Stop Shop”, as a Graphic and Interactive Designer, retiring in 2022.
Anne now spends her time painting, gardening, hiking with her dogs and enjoying the beauty of the Okanogan Highlands with her husband, Marcus. She loves learning new techniques and methods to make art and is presently focusing on acrylic and oil painting. She loves painting imaginary, fantastical scenes, dramatic skyscapes and landscapes, and meaningful portraitures. Anne is drawn to the beauty of natural light in all of its shades of brilliance and darkness, and sometimes juxtaposed with the drama of artificial light. It is always about light and dark with Anne.
